Miami, FL –  Today, as Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, candidate for U.S. Senate, stood with community leaders and health care providers in Miami to rally for reproductive freedom, Rick Scott doubled down on his support for Florida’s abortion ban and pledged to back “any anti-abortion bill.”

“On the day when women across Florida have less rights than they have had in this state in over 50 years, Rick Scott pledged to back any anti-abortion bill that comes in front of him,” said Debbie Mucarsel-Powell. “Women in Florida are already subject to a 24 hour waiting period to access health care because of his extreme agenda. How dare he put our lives in danger? How dare he threaten health care providers with jail time for treating the patient in front of them? Rick Scott has gone too far, and I stand with the overwhelming majority of Florida voters who are more than ready to vote for our freedoms and retire radical Rick Scott this November.”
