Tonight, I’m proud to see that the Senate has come together to work out a bipartisan compromise that prioritizes our national security and funds the fight for democracy abroad. This deal is what governing should be about: putting aside extremism and partisan politics to deliver for the American people – something that Rick Scott has proven he is incapable of doing. Instead, Scott has done more to jeopardize our border security and further the interests of Russia and China in pursuit of his own dangerous agenda. His refusal to lead is unacceptable. In the Senate, I would be proud to support this bipartisan compromise and find further opportunities to deliver for Floridians, including by finding a path to citizenship for Dreamers.” |
