Miami, FL – Debbie Mucarsel-Powell released the following statement in response to Floridians Protecting Freedom’s announcement they have surpassed the required number of signatures to qualify for the 2024 ballot.

“Floridians won’t stand for extremist politicians like Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis who support a national abortion ban, want to control women’s bodies, and criminalize health care providers,” said Debbie Mucarsel-Powell. “I’m proud to stand with and congratulate the Florida abortion ballot measure movement, which has built a bipartisan movement for freedom. Together we’re going to prove that Florida is not a red state — we’re a bright purple state committed to protecting our fundamental rights and standing up to the radical leaders who threaten them.”
